Come prima cosa aprire il file .htaccess ed editarlo come segue, però va ricordato che non tutti i provider permettono la modifica di tale file

1. andare su www.mamboforge.net
2. cercare le versioni di aggiornamento
3. scaricarsi i file
4. creare un backup del database e del sito che volete upgradare
5. scompattare in cartelle differenti gli eventuali file scaricati
6. sovrascrivere i file sul server con quelli contenuti nelle tre cartelle seguendo ordine di aggiornamento
7. eseguire le eventuali query contenute nel file: installation\sql\upgradeXXXXXXXX.sql dove le XXXX sono la versione di aggiornamento delle tabelle da una versione ad un altra

Installing Mambo Server on Windows 2000, XP and Windows Server 2003
This has been tested on Windows 2000 and XP, should work fine on Windows 2003 Server. I am assuming an install into a directory and not into the root of the site, to install into the root just follow the same instructions and substitute your web server root directory, usually c:\inetpub\wwwwroot , I am assuming this is where your IIS root is. For these instructions I am assuming an install to c:\inetpub\wwwwroot\mambo.

WMServer Tools è un utility che raccoglie: Apache - PHP - Perl - PHPMyAdmin - MySQL e WMServer SMTP (per testare l'invio delle e-mails in locale). |

Le seguenti istruzioni presuppongono che si stia utilizzando PHP con il web server Apache. Dopo aver prelevato da uno dei siti web sopra menzionati la più recente distribuzione di PHP, quella di Apache e MySQL procederemo innanzitutto alla installazione di MySQL.
